Editorial Policy

Our goal is to show whether a price is actually good – using facts, not hype.

How deal badges are calculated

• Lowest Price: the current price equals the lowest price we have recorded.
• Near Lowest: within 5% of the lowest recorded price.
• Below Average: at least 3% below the product’s tracked average over the last 90 days (a price holds each day until it changes).
• Price Drop / Price Increased: the best price changed in the last 14 days.
• Historical High: within 2% of the highest price we have recorded.

Badges and the deal score (0–100) are only shown after at least 5 price points over 14 days. The deal score is 60% “where the price sits between the tracked high and low” and 40% “how far below the tracked average it is”.

Retailer “was” prices

A retailer’s claimed original price is shown separately and labelled as such. It never creates a badge on its own. If a large claimed discount is not supported by our history, we say so.

Independence

Affiliate relationships never influence rankings, badges or copy. Sponsored content, if any, is clearly labelled.
