Black Friday Price Tracker helps US shoppers answer one question: is this actually a good time to buy?

Retailers advertise big discounts during Black Friday, Cyber Monday and other sales, but a “was” price is often a list price nobody paid. We record prices from major US retailers over time, so every deal on this site is compared with the prices we have actually tracked – not with the retailer’s claimed original price.

How we work

• We track prices from authorized sources: retailer APIs, affiliate product feeds, merchant feeds and manual checks.
• Every price point is stored with the date it was recorded, so charts and averages reflect real observations.
• Deal badges (Lowest Price, Near Lowest, Below Average) are calculated with a published, rule-based method – see our Editorial Policy.
• We never invent prices, discounts, reviews or historical data.
